Chalkhill Primary School runs its own breakfast club in our well-equipped Dining Hall every morning during term time from 8:00am. There is a cost of £1 or £5 per week for children to attend.
|School gate opens||8:30am|
The school gate opens at 8:30am where children can enter the playground to meet friends, chat and play. The first bell rings at 8:45am where children will go into their classrooms for a morning activity. The second bell will ring at 8:55am to signal the start of school and registers are taken.
Altogether there are 17 classes; two in each year group, and a Nursery with both part-time and full-time places. Each class contains 30 pupils. All classes have a Teaching Assistant, and some will also have a Learning Support Assistant to support the children in their learning. For more information on the curriculum we provide, please see our curriculum link. We expect children to come to school prepared. They are encouraged to bring a labelled water bottle, book bag, and pencil case everyday. They also need to bring their PE kits on a Monday every week, and taken home of Friday for washing.

The children will eat their lunch in the dining hall. We have an on-site kitchen and dedicated kitchen staff that provide an exciting and varied menu of hot meals. Children can choose to bring their own healthy packed lunches. If your child is entitled to, or you think they are entitled to, free school meals then please contact London Borough of Brent. Most of you will be aware that local councils are facing significant cuts to their budgets and this is likely to result in a reduction of funding. In order to get the money that Chalkhill Primary School is entitled to, we ask that parents who qualify for FMS apply for them even if they do not wish to take them up.
Extra – Curricular Clubs
At Chalkhill Primary School, children can apply to join a large range of after school clubs run by staff within the school. These include Science Club, Film Club, Knitting Club, and a range of after school sports such as football and netball. Please look at our Clubs page for more information.
