Parent Newsletter 19.03.21
Today, the school celebrated Red Nose Day and it was lovely to see many children either dressed up in red or as a superhero of their choice. Throughout the week, pupils were encouraged to practice their skipping in order to take part in a ‘Skipathon’, designed to improve their health, fitness and mental wellbeing. Skipping is a fantastic way to exercise without having to spend too much money, so please encourage your child to continue this activity outside of school. Thank you to all the children who contributed £1, which will go towards a good cause. Please remember that the Comic Relief televised fundraising event will be on the BBC tonight at 7pm.
Since returning from lockdown, the majority of pupils have settled in well after spending a great deal of time at home. Thank you once again for supporting your child through this transition period. I would like to remind all parents that attendance onsite is compulsory. For the first week back, the overall attendance of pupils was only 93%, which is lower than the national percentage of 96%. It is therefore imperative that all children attend school every day so that they do not miss out on any further learning. Of course, if your child is unwell, please follow the school procedures when reporting sickness.
